Justine Court & Ida Court Southampton

Perm - 19 hours per week

We are currently recruiting for a Scheme Manager to manage two of our properties in Southampton. Resident at Justine Court you will work 15 hours per week looking after 23 one-bedroom properties. The scheme has a laundry room, guest room and communal gardens. You will then spend 4 hours per week visiting Ida Court to manage 15 one-bedroom properties; the scheme has a communal lounge, guest room and communal gardens. The successful applicant will need to have access to a car to travel between the two schemes.

This is a lone working role with support from a Regional Manager, Head Office Team and a Training and Support Assistant.

Customer facing and varied, you'll be responsible for supporting residents in maintaining their well-being and independence, supporting the delivery of quality property management services, which respond to customer and business needs.

You will oversee the general management of the buildings including organising repairs and maintenance of internal and external communal areas, along with the structure of the building. You will also monitor our cleaning, gardening and window cleaning contractors to ensure they are delivering services in-line with the required specification, as well as dealing with generic leaseholder matters including lease and property queries, customer complaints and any general enquiries that may arise.

We are looking for someone that has a 'can do' attitude and is able to manage their own workload independently. You must be able to empathise with the resident age group - typically 65 plus.

The ideal candidate will have;

  • A general understanding of building maintenance and repairs.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • The ability to develop and nurture good working relationships with residents, contractors and clients.

  • A general knowledge of leasehold property would be beneficial but not essential.

You must be self-motivated and able to demonstrate excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You will need good customer skills and have a proven track record in providing services to those with a support need.

Above all we are looking for someone with a patient and caring personality and a commitment to service excellence.

This is a fantastic opportunity to utilise your extensive skills and experience to really make a difference.

The Managers accommodation at Justine Court is a one bedroom flat with an office, located on the first floor of the building. Individual Scheme Managers are each responsible for their bills (Council tax, Electricity, TV Licence, Personal Phone, etc.) with the exception of the following expenses which are paid by Grange Management Ltd; Water bills and Contents Insurance.

Car parking is offered on a first come first served basis although the Scheme Manager does have a designated parking space at Justine Court. Should you wish to bring a pet you must apply for permission and this is subject to the same conditions as for other residents.

You will be expected to work Monday to Friday from 9am to midday at Justine Court and visit Ida Court twice per week, for 2 hours per visit.
