Imperial Professionals are delighted to announce that we are working exclusively with one of our high-profile clients to appoint a Logistics Co-ordinator on a permanent basis.

The purpose of this role is to act as the liaison between suppliers and partners, ensuring smooth communication and prompt delivery of goods are contractually adhered to. Also, to support the business with logistical queries, processes and procedures.

Location: Stockton-on-Tees

Key Responsibilities:

* Follow health, safety and environmental guidelines and procedures in respect of personal and department activities.

* Communicate by telephone and email in a professional and polite manner

* Maintain a good relationship with clients current forwarders whilst also creating new relationships with future suppliers

* Proactive contact, collection of delivery and associated documentation worldwide - proof of delivery, CMR transport documentation, export/import documentation, cost, insurance and freight (CIF) documentation, parts documentation

* Process and create necessary documentation, i.e. COO, SASO etc. for destination purposes

* Keep track of quality, warranty, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency and report back to Manager

* Documentation tracking, consolidation and systems entries

* Resolve any arising problems or complaints in a timely manner

* Meet measurable KPI targets

* Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements

* Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements

* Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases

* Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices

* Oversee stock levels and place orders as needed

* Coordinate and escalate with appropriate language sales co-ordinators

* Work with finance to ensure country specific tax compliance

* Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage

* Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications of the company

* To carry out any other reasonable duties which are within the employee's skills and abilities, when requested by Manager

To be considered for this opportunity you will have:

* Demonstrable experience working in a Logistics or Transport role

* Knowledge of specific documentation required for international transport

* Demonstrable experience of dealing with matters confidentially and sensitively

* NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration

* Demonstrable experience of dealing with complaints

* Excellent ability to work accurately and with attention to detail

* The ability to work flexibly and respond to change daily

* Strong MS Office experience

Although not essential desirably:

* CILT level 3 in Global Logistics qualification
