LGV C+E Shunter
We are currently recruiting a C+E Distribution Shunter at our Manchester Trafford Park site:
Who will be responsible for carrying out the day to day moving and parking vehicles in the yard.
This will include To adhere to the Company Policy regarding daily and weekly vehicle
maintenance checks .
To safely move trailers from the parking area onto the loading bay and
once the trailer has been loaded to park the trailer in the despatch area.
To ensure that the correct procedures are adhered to when 'hitching and
unhitching' the unit to the trailer and to ensure that the trailer is
securely loaded.
To adhere to the current vehicle temperature control procedures.
To ensure that the 'tug' or unit is kept clean and tidy inside and out.
To ensure that prior to leaving the site the vehicle is not overweight.
To ensure that tachograph procedures are adhered to.
If necessary to deliver to a depot or Test Centre.
To undertake training as offered by Management
Key skills & experience:
• Has a full Category C+E licence & Digi Card
• To have relevant CPC qualifications -No More than 6 points on Licence-NO DR/IN Codes
• Excellent timekeeping skills
• A welcoming and polite individual that demonstrates an excellent attitude to work
• Has an excellent professional approach with a positive customer focus
• Can take a hands-on approach to solving issues
The role is working 5/7 shifts per week including Weekends and Bank Holidays.
The starts are between 18.00-22.00,To be confirmed at Interview.
The Role:
Weekly Paid
Competitive Hourly Rate
Overtime after 39 Hours at 1.5 Hourly Rate
Saturdays paid at 1.5 Basic Hourly Rate
Sunday Paid at 2.0 Basic Hourly Rate
Unsocialable Hours Payment for hours worked 18.00-04.00 additional .23% of basic Hourly Rate
28 Days Paid Holiday
