1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Lincoln, Lincolnshire
Start Date: Immediately
Salary: GBP65 to GBP80 per day*
GSL Education is working with an inclusive Special Needs School and looking to appoint Teaching Assistants to work on a 1:1 basis with Primary and Secondary aged pupils.
As the ideal candidate you should;
Have experience supporting children or young people with a range of additional needs.
Be aware of the Primary National Curriculum.
Have training in Autism, Learning Difficulties, Behaviour, Team Teach or Moving and Handling; or be willing to complete additional training.
Be aware of PECs and Makaton; previous experience of using both would be ideal.
Be charismatic, pro-active and have the ability to use your own initiative.Within the job role you will;
Work on a 1:1 basis with children aged between 2 and 16 years old, with a range of complex and additional needs.
Support the delivery of the lessons by the class teacher and work with small groups of pupils to deliver educational-based activities.
Support within additional activities to promote motor and speech skills, including but not limited to, Outdoor Fitness, Sensory Rooms, Hydrotherapy, Swimming lessons, Arts and Crafts and Cookery.
Assist with any personal care needs that may be required.
