Organisational Readiness & Change Lead for a prestigious Uni in Sheffield, FTC until June 2022
Your new role
The Organisational Readiness & Change Lead is an exciting role, reporting to the Organisational Change Manager you will be responsible for leading and coordinating a team of change officers and Workstream Leads as they undertake critical transformative change management activities to support the Student Lifecycle Programme (SLP). SLP is an ambitious programme of service improvement that will update the University's systems and processes across the board, making them more efficient to run, more responsive to the needs of students and staff, and more sustainable for the future.
In this lead role, you will ensure that there is the right capacity and capability in place to support the development of Target Operating Models/future state for the services/
functional areas within programme scope and provide them with expert advice and guidance as they seek to develop their functions capabilities. You will work collaboratively with colleagues and key stakeholders within the Programme Team, Professional and Academic services to ensure alignment of process and system designs with design principles and broader university strategies. Leading the development of robust change and readiness plans for the projects/areas you are responsible for within the programme, whilst ensuring end to end process integrity to deliver effective and lasting change across the University.
Working with colleagues within the Programme you will ensure that change activities are fully integrated into project plans and that these are clear and compelling supporting the delivery of well defined benefits.
You will support the establishment of a network of stakeholder including Subject Matter experts, Product Owners, Faculty teams and Project Sponsors working with them to ensure coherence between project plans and change management activities. You will actively engage with this network to understand change impacts and business readiness so that they can adopt planned changes and realise benefits. Where necessary, you will lead on specific elements of strategic planning and delivery of change activities.
You will be responsible for applying robust methodologies and frameworks to change that are contextualised for the University.
What you'll need to succeed
This isn't a role for a Project Manager, we're seeking a Change specialist who can demonstrate a robust knowledge of specialist change management approaches within Technology transformation programmes, providing consulting facilitation skills with experience in Business Process Mapping. You'll be confident in working within a complex stakeholder landscape, with exceptional interpersonal skills, that enable you to influence and negotiate with both professional service staff and academics. You'll be able to show your ability to develop effective change management frameworks that are focused on realising benefits that establish good practice for both the Programme and the University more widely. Please show us your extensive experience of developing actionable and targeted change management plans including engagement and training activities, providing advice and guidance in relation to effective change management. Ideally you'll have strong commitment to delivering continuous improvement and previous applicable of Prosci as a methodology.
