Job Title:IBM SFG (Sterling File Gateway)

Inside IR35

Location:Onsite Swindon-UK

Department/Practice:NBS

Job Purpose and primary objectives:

Key responsibilities (please specify if the position is an individual one or part of a team):

  • Has experience with complex Business to Business and Managed File Transfer implementations and support
  • Can implement and support Sterling File Gateway solutions
  • Can integrate our various Payments services with Sterling File Gateway functions
  • Knowledge of IBM Sterling File Gateway(2.2.+), Sterling Integrator ( 5.2.6.+) and IBM Sterling Secure Proxy(3.4.3+)
  • Has experience in all aspects of installing and configuring Connect Direct
  • Can implement and support Cloud based solutions and integrate our various Payments services
  • Deploy new applications, updates and fixes
  • Perform root cause analysis for production errors
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues
  • Integration/migrate to/from Cloud based processes with on-prem systems
  • Work effectively with staff in all areas of the business, escalating when appropriate to management and/or R&D.
  • Has strong practical Linux and/or Windows-based systems administration skills

Key Skills/Knowledge:

As a minimum requirement you'll have technical experience working with:

  • OpenShift Container Platform deployment, management, security, troubleshooting
  • Ansible - automating platform build, deployment and remediation
  • Docker containers - image management, security, deployment
  • Dev Ops tools (eg Git, Jenkins, Gerrit)
  • RHEL6 and 7 (all aspects)
  • Comfortable with VMWare as well as physical Servers (eg. Cisco UCS blades)

Experience required:

  • Work experience as a Sterling File Gateway Specialist Engineer or similar engineering role
  • Good practical knowledge of Infrastructure Gateway systems
  • Good knowledge of Scripting languages - eg Power-Shell, Bash, Python
  • SCRUM/Agile methodologies
  • Regulatory knowledge (PCI and GDPR)
