Lead Software Developer/Tech Lead - Remote

We are looking to add technical expertise and added capability to their existing and highly talented technical team.

We are seeking experienced a Lead Developer, or a Senior Developer who are ready to take the next step in their career to the Lead level. This role will have split duties (70/30) between 'hands on' coding work and line management duties for junior members of the team. For these juniors, you will also play a part in the development, coaching and mentoring as well as assisting them in their growth and progress in their own roles and within the business.

You will be part of a highly talented and multi-discipline team made up of Junior, Senior and Lead Software Developers. The organisation is moving to a cloud native environment, so any experience of Google Cloud, AWS or Azure would be advantageous. Technical skills wise, this role is very open to your background. This is a multi-stack environment, and you will have strong technical skills across a number of areas which may include, but not limited to; PHP, .NET (C# and .NET core) or Java. Any experience of MySQL and SQL Server will also be advantageous. You will also have strong JavaScript skills as well as prior experience of API's and experience of using JIRA. The current roadmap is predominantly based all around modernisation and innovation, and they are looking for experienced developers who can make suggestions and recommendations around new technologies.

Although this role is not fully remote, the client here does offer extensive remote working. The requirement to be present in the office may be as infrequent as once/twice per month, however the ability and willingness to be in the office at short notice (24-48 hours) is needed.

What we are looking for:

• An experienced Lead Software Developer or Software Developer looking for their next step up.
• Experience of leading/mentoring junior colleagues whilst remaining hands on in your role.
• Experience across a wide range of technologies which may include PHP, .NET, Java, JavaScript, MySQL, Google Cloud, AWS, JIRA.
• Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal.

ROLE: Lead Software Developer/Technical Lead - Extensive Remote working available

LOCATION: Corby, Northamptonshire (with extensive remote working as mentioned above)

SALARY: GBP38,000 - GBP45,000 - Dependent on your level of skills and experience. Benefits include Childcare vouchers, Cycle2Work scheme, Buy & Sell holidays, Life Insurance.
