Laboratory Technician - Villiers, Knowsley

What is on offer?


The Laboratory Technician is placed within AHK's new Copper Laboratory, dedicated to Copper Analysis for a variety of copper based global commodities. Reporting to the Copper Laboratory Manager supporting AHK's Copper Laboratory operations.

The role of Laboratory Technician is to Carry out analytical methods and standard operating procedures without supervision to a high degree of precision and accuracy, ensuring that an effective high quality analytical service is provided to meet reporting deadlines on the various types of samples / commodities submitted to laboratory for analytical testing.

Required Knowledge and Work Experience

  • Able to understand laboratory procedures, techniques and associated equipment.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills and able to inform others.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of manual dexterity.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Willing, cooperative and able be trained and follow instruction.
