Independent Living Adviser

Manchester

£26,707 per annum

Our client is an innovative provider of housing and community services, formed in April 2015 from a historic merger between two of Manchester’s largest housing associations. In the subsequent two years the Group has achieved its initial merger aspirations and is now extending and expanding (doubling) its new homes programme across a range of tenures and locations. It currently owns and manages more than 12,000 homes in central, south and east Manchester.

They’re passionate about improving lives and helping neighbourhoods thrive. They see the difference their work makes in their city and they work together to support their customers and their wellbeing. As an Independent Living Adviser, you will provide a range of high-quality housing management services that will enable residents in independent living accommodation to lead and maintain an independent life through the provision of information, advice, guidance and signposting to other services. You will take a person-centred approach when assessing customer needs and identify additional services to sustain independent living.

You will have experience of working and supporting older people and a sound practical knowledge and understanding of current legislation and best practice as it impacts on older people.

You’ll have brilliant communication and interpersonal skills and a drive to get things done, working with internal colleagues and wider partners to facilitate and enhance independence.

They’re looking for someone who is resilient and can work with a positive outlook under pressure, a team player with extensive knowledge and experience of guidance and advice to older people and of tenancy risk assessment and planning.

This is a hugely rewarding role where you’ll really see the difference you make to people’s lives every day. They’re a supportive and flexible organisation that’s really excited about their future. They offer a fantastic benefits package and a genuine commitment to your training and development. But that’s not all. Working with them, it’s about being proud to make a real and positive difference to people’s lives.

Join them now and see the difference you can make in their great city.

If this sounds like you then apply today, they’d love to hear from you.

Closing date: Midnight on Wednesday 12 May 2021

Interviews/assessments will be held on either Tuesday 2/Wednesday 3 June 2021 and you will need to be available on this date if shortlisted.
