Head of Religion, Philosophy and Ethics

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Teacher of Religion, Philosophy and Ethics to join the Humanities Department at Wells Cathedral School and to lead the RPE Department with drive and imagination during the next phase of its development. The successful candidate will be willing to undertake associated pastoral and general duties of the School. There is potential for an Assistant Houseparent position with this role; please advise on your application form if this is of interest to you.

The role may be of interest to Church of England clergy who wish to combine the role with Chaplaincy work in the School. Applications from clergy are very welcome, therefore, for a combined Head of RPE/Chaplain role; interested ordained applicants may request further details of the combined role from the School’s HR Department. But applications from non-ordained applicants interested only in the Head of RPE role are strongly encouraged and equally welcome.
