Our Client

Our client is part of larger group which farms over 90,000 Ha across the UK and Europe. In the UK they farm around 4,000 Ha in East Anglia. There main focus is potatoes and beetroot and they're the largest grower of these crops in the UK. They also grow onions and cereal crops. Due to progression within the business, they're looking for a Seed Centre Manager to join the team in East Anglia.

The role

The role is for a Trainee Seed Operations Manager which is a fast-paced busy environment during peak season but due to the nature of the business has a lot of autonomy and responsibility to make the role your own. You will manage the Seed Centre operations including stores and grading, also manage seed intake, drying, storage, handling and dispatch. You will organise transport logistics for the Seed Centre and Farm teams.

The Candidate

The role requires someone with agricultural experience, preferable potatoes but can be other crops. Also experience of managing a small team and also managing a site or business that has stock along with imports/exports is required.
