Senior Actuarial Manager / Depute Workstream Lead

12 Month Contract c. GBP900 - GBP1000 DRC (Inside IR35)

We have an exciting opportunity for an Actuarial Manager to join our leading financial services client (UK based / remote working) on a 12 month contract to support the business through a Capital Monitoring & Forecasting improvement programme.

The Capital Monitoring & Forecasting improvement programme will focus on more regular hard closes of the SCR, building a new sensitivity and forecasting system and standardising Group processes. The successful candidate will work with the Business Readiness team, who are responsible for the successful design, implementation and embedding of new operating models across the suite of capital reporting processes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Building relationships with stakeholders
  • Developing and monitoring process implementation plans across teams, markets and processes
  • Designing and embedding review & sign-off packages
  • Ensuring appropriate governance is in place to operate within our shared service model
  • Implementing and embedding a robust control environment


The successful candidate will be an experienced, Qualified Actuary (or with equivalent experience) with extensive experience in actuarial reporting (ideally capital reporting) as well as experience in operating model implementation.

  • Strong communication skills - ability to communicate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and to explain impacts
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to work with colleagues from across the Group
  • Ability to work independently and on their own initiative and know when to escalate.
  • Ability to develop solutions to engagement challenges
  • Flexible to look at a range of issues across a wide number of processes, teams and markets
  • Good technical actuarial skills to review and understand impacts
