Senior Policy and Public Affairs Lead Nation
We are seeking an exceptional Senior Policy and Public Affairs professional to help us improve the lives of children in Scotland. The successful candidate will deliver real impact through leading Barnardo's influencing effort through relevant public policy and practice - using evidence from research, policy analysis and from our service users and frontline workers. You will represent Barnardo's at the highest levels within Scottish Government and the Scottish Parliament, carrying the charity's reputation and profile in official and sector forums, and influencing change in Government policy and through the media on key issues over a sustained period. Do you have what it takes to shape the national policy context to transform the lives of the most vulnerable children and young people in Scotland? If you have a track record of using evidence-based research and policy analysis, amplifying and positioning the voice of the child through influencing policy and through the media, we'd love to hear from you.
This role will be home based but will require travel to the central belt and across Scotland.
When completing your application please refer to your skills knowledge and experience in relation to the Job Description and Person Specification.
