Software Test Analyst - Utilities, Smart Metering

• Undertake the necessary analysis work to gain a detailed understanding of technical, functional and business requirements.
• Participate in test activities throughout the testing life cycle.
• Focus on development, implementation and maintenance of best practice for functional and technical test processes.
• Ensure that the appropriate test tools and procedures are identified and applied for use.
• Provide technical support, advice, training and development to other technical test team members.
• Participate in test activities throughout the testing life cycle.
• Working closely with business/system analysts, developers and the client to ensure that solutions delivered by the department are verified and validated to the highest quality.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:

• Demonstrable experience of testing through the software development life cycle, including:
• System testing.
• Integration testing.
• Acceptance testing.
• Joint testing with customers.
• Demonstrable experience of testing with a range of different testing methodologies.
• Demonstrable knowledge of the application of a range of testing techniques.
• Demonstrate knowledge/experience of SoapUI with seb services.
• Good communications skills (verbal and written) and the ability to communicate progress and issues at all levels within the business.
• Knowledge of the UK Utilities Industry would be an advantage.
