It is an exciting time to be joining Draper Tools and we have a fantastic opportunity for a Regional Sales Manager to join our team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual work in our field sales team, managing a team of Area Sales Managers covering the North of England and Scotland. Ideally you will be living on the England/Scotland border.

What will I be responsible for?

Joining our team as our Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Coaching, mentoring, motivating and supporting the team.
  • Working with reporting systems to accurately measure performance in terms of margin and sales turnover against targets.
  • Communicating regularly with the team including calls (phone, Skype, Teams), 1-2-1 meetings and team meetings.
  • Attend and present results at regular RSM and Sales Meetings.
  • Structuring time to spend with ASM on customer visits, when appropriate.
  • Conducting effective annual appraisals, deal with any performance issues and instigate business improvement plans if required.
  • Ensuring all team members receive adequate training and obtain the skills needed to develop professionally.
  • Working with relevant stakeholders to generate new promotional ideas.

  • Strong administrative skills
  • Motivated to beat sales targets
  • Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to close a sale
  • Flexible, open to change
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office and other IT systems such as databases and CRMs
  • Driving licence
  • Strong product knowledge

When restrictions allow, this role requires travel to different locations on a regular basis, so applicants must hold a full, valid Driver's Licence. Flexibility on working hours will be required and some travel to Head Office will be required, again, when restrictions allow.
