Hours: 24 Hours per week
Salary: £18,720 pro rata (£15 per hour)

Ups and Downs Southwest is a Down Syndrome Support charity working with children, families and professionals across the South West. We carry out direct family support work and offer training packages to professionals from the health, education and social care sectors. With over 20 years experience, we are the ‘go to’ service for all families, professionals and all those involved in the care and education of children and young people who have Down Syndrome.
We have secured significant funding from The National Lottery Community Fund to enable us to provide a range of intensive services for children, parents and professionals in the Bristol area in relation to Down Syndrome.
The Family Support Team Leader will play a key role in the operation of the Bristol service. He/she will line manage a school liaison worker, youth worker and volunteer befrienders as well as offer direct one-to-one family support where there is a child with Down Syndrome. The post holder will also maintain and create successful links and working relationships with statutory providers and other agencies and work closely with the charity’s Director to contribute to the strategic direction and growth of the Bristol service.
The successful applicant will be joining the small but busy team based in Knowle, Bristol.
