The company are providers of small residential children's homes situated in Staffordshire and require talented and experienced senior children support workers

Their homes have their own personality, which is centred on a therapeutic model of care and allows them to cater for the diverse range of needs presented by the children/young people in a family orientated environment.
The role involves providing support and education for children and young people with EBD and challenging behaviour aged between 12 and 18. Children's Residential Support Workers provide therapeutic care to young and vulnerable children in a safe, residential environment.
The Candidate:
Senior children's Residential Support Workers will check each resident's needs and progress, create a safe and positive living environment and set rules for behaviour. They also provide both on-to-one counselling and group therapy sessions, provide leisure, support and creative activities, and act as a learning support assistant to help residents gain independence and deal with problems.
Work is on a flexible basis, with sleep-ins and shift work, including evenings and weekends on a rota system.
Ideal candidates for this role will have their Level 3 Diploma in children and young people or NVQ 3 or equivalent.
Essential:
The successful candidate MUST HAVE:
A full driving licence
NVQ 3 or equivalent
Flexibility to respond the changing needs of those who we support
Excellent communication skills, and a strong "can do" attitude
Experience of working with young people with challenging behaviour
