We have an exciting opportunity to lead and develop our Care leavers and Mother and Baby service. If you are an experienced and dynamic leader in this field, then we would love to hear from you. 

 

We are a passionate team who pride ourselves on creating safe environments where young people can thrive. We are expanding on our current supported housing offer and need a highly motivated and experienced person to lead these new services.

 

We currently have an opportunity available for a Service Manager to join us to manage two of our services located in Enfield and Haringey.

 

The Services

Mother and Baby unit – 4 bed spaces

We provide support and care to young mothers to become independent and ensure the baby will receive the best care.

Care Leavers service – 19 bed spaces

We support young people leaving care to gain independent living skills to enable them to move on and maintain a place of their own.

 

The role

Reporting to the Operations Manager and working in a team of established services managers.

 

Initially leading on the development and set up of these new services you will need strong project management skills in order to lay the foundations for services that will grow and flourish under your supervision.

 

You will lead on all areas of the service including housing management, safeguarding and maintain an excellent package of support for young people. 

 

You will support, motivate and develop a team of Youth Coaches whose aims are to support clients in developing their life skills and helping them to live independently.

 

Overall, you’ll ensure the delivery of a quality service which reflects best practice and adheres to all relevant legislation, policies, procedures and performance standards. 

 

What we are looking for

  • A Youth and Community qualification or equivalent
  • Experience of working with the client group plus in depth knowledge of safeguarding children and adults. 
  • Team management experience including managing performance  
  • Experience of multi-agency and inter-agency working 
  • Experience in identifying risk and risk management planning 
  • Experience of housing sector and managing dispersed accommodation
  • A current knowledge of the welfare benefits system 
  • Knowledge of housing and relevant legislation
  • Full valid driving license and use of car to work purposes is essential
