I am currently recruiting a 12-month, fixed term contract for a Group Accountant for a company based in Cambridge, which is enjoying a period of sustained growth.
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Group Accountant will be supporting a step change in improving the quality of the financial management processes across the group, with a focus on transactions, accounting, tax and cashflow.
There are no direct reports, but the role will influence improvement through building relationships and advising on problems, solutions and best practice.
The role is accountable for ensuring common processes across the various legal entities (Internationally), working with company Financial Accountants on providing timely and accurate results. The post holder will need to critically analyse and challenge the numbers. Specific areas of work include;
• Transactional AP/AR
• Financial Accounting
• Statutory Reporting & External Audit
• Taxation
• Transfer Pricing & Intra Group Management Charging
• Treasury
In addition, you will support the business in opening new overseas entities, there are several which are being set up over the next 6 months.
Whilst not guaranteed, due to the growth of the business, there is potential that this role could become permanent in the future.
Interested candidates will need to be qualified and will have experience of working within large, International businesses with International, group accounting experience. You will have experience of driving financial system enhancements and financial controls. Finally, you will be able to present information in a clear and concise manner and use this to influence decision making
