Finance Analyst
Brandon, Suffolk
Up to GBP30,000
Local organsiation based in Brandon are seeking an experienced Finance Analyst to strengthen their existing team.
This is a hands-on accounting role in a unique and fast-paced manufacturing environment. Within Finance you will work closely with the Finance Director and Bookkeeper as well as being a key support to other members of a cross functional Senior Leadership team.
At the heart of the role will be the ability to determine the best use of resources to achieve business objectives. You will be expected to prepare regular reports using financial data, and work collaboratively across the entire Business to analyse financial and business performance.
You will also support the business to implement efficient and diligent financial practices.
You will be heavily involved in the day to day running of the company accounts, with the responsibility of making observations of the financial state of the organisation.
You will be the number two to the Finance Director which provides scope for development within the Business.
Specifically you will be responsible for:
Examining and analysing current and past financial information - both revenue and costs and identifying trends
Presenting findings to key stakeholders
Supporting business profitability and growth through findings and voice recommendations
Consulting with the management team to develop long-term commercial plans
Supporting MD and FD in exploring different investment opportunities
Helping prepare month end and year end reports and accounts
Cash flow management
Familiarising yourself with current accounting systems and make suggestions for enhancements where needed
Ensuring the business follows required accounting legislation
Liaising with external auditors
Supporting delivery of annual Budget & short-term forecasts
Supporting Finance Director with preparation of all relevant financial reports
Supporting delivery of balance sheet reconciliations
To be successful in your application you will be a part-qualified Accountant with aspirations to complete CIMA, ACCA or ACA. You will have first-rate analytical skills, with the ability to present findings to people across departments. You will have excellent time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise along with good communication skills. Ideally you will have experience working within a multi-site manufacturing environment. You will be commercially astute and a dynamic, strategic thinker.
Due to location and some travel, you will need to have access to your own vehicle.
Standard hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm with a ?? hour unpaid break. Longer hours may occasionally required to meet the needs of the business.
