Gi Group in Portsmouth are seeking an experienced Class 2 Ready Mix Concrete Driver
The main purpose of the job is to drive any vehicle of the Company's fleet which has been assigned and for which a current licence is held .
This is a temporary assignment to cover holiday and is expected to last until at least August. You will be expected to work from either of the following locations, these may change daily; Portsmouth / Shoreham / Alton / Bordon / Eastleigh depending on own fleet drivers holidays.
Duties Include:
The vehicle is to be kept clean and tidy at all times.
Where appropriate comply with any uniform wearing policy
Operates vehicles within the law and be courteous and mindful of other road users. Have due regard for the safe driving on the road and at the loading and delivery point.
Perform daily checks on vehicles as per work instructions.
Load Tachograph with chart or card.
Load vehicles in accordance weighbridge instructions.
Deliver to address according to delivery note.
Obtain signature for proof of delivery.
Complete daily work record at end of day.
Comply with all relevant legislation for driver's hours etc.
Ensure safe deliveries to site - obey all safety instructions.
Physical Effort
Some physical effort is to be expected in this role where checks and daily maintenance of the vehicle is required. This may involve lifting, bending, stooping or other physical effort, but within the safety guidance on such activities
40 hours per week
