This role offers a really exciting challenge, a huge sense of purpose and experience in delivering environmental sustainability education projects in Stratford upon Avon.
We are looking for a passionate Project Coordinator to help create and deliver the Stratford School Sustainability Programme to local Primary and Special school children. You will be involved in the whole process from content creation to delivery, managing relationships with schools, venues, transport and training providers, organising logistics, getting feedback and enjoying a real variety of responsibilities, so if you enjoy an interesting challenge this could be the role for you!
We are looking for someone who has an interest and passion in reducing climate change, a highly organised person with superb attention to detail that likes to get their hands dirty. This role involves working outside (when its warm) 20% of the time.
Established since 2017, Graduate Planet CIC is a Social Enterprise and Community Interest Company (CIC) which basically means that we use our profits for good. We reinvest the profit we make through recruitment into educating children and adults in environmental sustainability solutions. We enable primary school children to visit 7 different locations including the solar farm, a real recycling centre, tree and biodiversity planting plus river and farm workshops to learn about water, energy, food, nature and waste conservation. These ensure that people have the skills, capabilities, and tools to need do reduce climate change effectively.

Trainee Environmental Project Coordinator / Environmental Graduate responsibilities will include:
Leading the planning and implementation of projects from conception to delivery
Researching potential ideas and logistics
Contact schools, coach companies and project site managers to coordinate trips
Client meetings (online and in person when possible)
Provide a point of contact for enquiries about the project.
Writing and creating workshop content using Word and Powerpoint
Arranging and coordinating transport, logistics and materials.
Negotiating transports and venue costs
Carrying out and writing risk assessments
Event preparation, event set-up and providing educational content at workshops.
Getting impact feedback from schools
Managing all administration well
Building and maintaining relationships with school and workshop partners
Responsible ensuring that project objectives, milestones and products are all successfully delivered and overall project success
Identifying, managing, and monitoring project issues and risks as required
Providing a wide range of both proactive and reactive project support.
Support the Project Manager to collate monitoring and evaluation data for the project. (Data collection and analysis).
Ensuring that project documentation is maintained and updated as required.
Website and social media support
Undertaking administrative tasks
Process purchases associated with the project and assist with the preparation of budget monitoring reports
Event preparation, event set-up and providing educational content at workshops.
Research and administration for community grants.
Establish and maintain an effective contact list for the delivery partners and stakeholders

Skills & experience
Educated to degree level or A Level or have equivalent work-based experience.
Ability to use a comprehensive range of IT software (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Teams or Zoom)
You will be required to be DBS checked to the highest level.
Interpersonal skills
This role does not require experience in the following, only the ability to be able to demonstrate these skills:

* Good planning skills with good communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate confidently and clearly in writing and over the phone.
* Project coordination abilities and great organisational skills.
* An ethical attitude with a strong interest in environmental sustainability and the community.
* Hard working, innovative and enthusiastic with the ability to proactively handle a wide range of tasks and prioritise these effectively.
* Capable of working effectively within an entrepreneurial environment and working towards targets.
* Willingness to travel to and work at outdoor sites 20% of your time.
* Able to present educational content to children confidently and work well in a team.
* Be self motivated and use your initiative to work on tasks without supervision, behaving both as an effective leader to the children.
* Have the ability to assimilate new information quickly and use your initiative and make effective decisions.
* A strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight timeframes.
* Be able to take part in data gathering, analysis and reporting, e.g. customer event participant feedback
* The ability to build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders
* The ability to get community engagement including execution of social media campaigns
* An ability to bring fresh ideas and a disciplined approach
Desirable skills
* Any understanding of the national educational curriculum, environmental sustainability or a desire to reduce climate change is highly desirable.
* Any experience of supporting successful projects or pilot projects with external stakeholders.
This is an outstanding Trainee Recruitment Consultant opportunity, a great experience if you are trying to develop a career in environmental sustainability or project management long term. We will train you into confident, experienced person who has the ability to engage, coordinate and deliver climate changing workshops to adults and children.
You will receive employability support through the DWP Gateway via online workshops covering job search, CV and application writing and interview skills workshops. As a company we will deliver the final element of employability support by developing your project management and office skills in the workplace as well as providing mentoring and career advice. Training will be given online and in person when it's safe to do so.
The role is part time, 25 hours a week, ideally 3 days a week but this can be spread over more days for the right candidate. The role will be home based initially due to Covid. The salary is minimum living wage which varies depending on your age.
Location: Stratford upon Avon - 60% working remotely from home / 40% onsite in Stratford
