Our client, an established business experiencing large periods of growth. We seek an energetic, forward thinking Warehouse Supervisor with the experience required to motivate and drive change through a crucial period for a growing company. Monday - Friday rotating earlies and lates.
Experience of supervising teams, whilst needing to be hands on in a fast paced operational environment is essential, as is a proven understanding and previous management of warehouse processes and operations. Must have managed 10+people. The role will require you to effectively manage KPI's, drive change and lean working to ensure that processes are efficient.
You will need to be a strong communicator who can build good internal business relationships with the ability to engage, motivate and influence others in order to hands on deliver results through your team and maximise the potential of others including their development and performance management. You will also be required to set and achieve daily measurable targets and work within set budgets in this highly customer centric environment.
The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the accurate and secure receipt, storage and counting of warehouse stock. The role will involve supporting all departments including Goods-In, picking, packing, stock control, loading and despatch.
Responsibilities will include:
* Liaise with Goods-In to ensure the smooth flow and earliest possible receipt of ordered goods
* Ensure that sufficient stock is located for the forthcoming Production Shifts
* Plan and supervise the correct rotation of the bulk and pickline stocks
* Ensure that FLT operating aisles are maintained at all times
* Manage and motivate the team including recruitment, training, discipline and performance reviews with staff
* Stock control duties such as, stock planning, stock takes and completion of Stock Counting Schedule
* Promote all health, safety, environmental, legal requirements and company values
The successful Warehouse Supervisor will have:
* Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or Warehouse Team Leader or experience in a similar logistics role
* Good WMS experience
* Familiarity of with working to performance and efficiency linked KPI's
* Proven logistics operational experience at a first line level in a fast paced logistics environment
* Good IT skills
