Teaching Assistant - Prestwich
Milk Education is supporting a Primary school in Prestwich that require Teaching Assistants for day to day supply cover and on a longer term basis. These roles will enable you to further your experience of working in a Primary school and with children with different needs and abilities.
The school is happy to recruit both experienced Teaching Assistants and Graduate Teaching Assistants who are starting their career in education. They have asked that the ideal candidates must be able to engage the children well and come up with creative and exciting learning opportunities. You must also have strong behaviour management and be confident with running 1 to 1 and group interventions.
You will work closely with other experienced TA's and Teacher in the class. As a team, you will work together to create a calm, nurturing environment and create a tailored learning approach to help development of the pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
* Working with groups of children or working with pupils on a 1-2-1 basis
* Supporting these pupils with the full Primary National Curriculum to all ranges
* Working with children who have additional SEND needs
* Supporting the class teacher across the whole class
* Uphold a strong classroom presence whilst motivating and inspiring all pupils
Required Skills & Experience:
* Previous and recent experience of working in a Primary School or Education setting
* Strong behaviour management with a flexible approach
* Enthusiastic, creative and passionate delivery of the National Curriculum
* Work independently and as part of a team
* Hold a relevant teaching assistant or childcare qualification (Level 1, 2 or Level 3)
* Have previous experience within the past last two years
* Have eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident
