THE COMPANY:

Brewster Partners are delighted to be recruiting an experience category Marketing Manager to join a long standing manufacturing distributor in Doncaster.

The Category Marketing Manager is joining the business at an exciting time following recent internal changes, and will have overall marketing responsibility for the designated product categories.

THE JOB:

You will be responsible for researching, formulating and implementation plans to achieve 1 year tactical as well as 3-5 year business plans to help achieve objectives for sales and market share.

Duties & Responsibilities include:

Develop the category/channel plan to grow sales and profitability of ranges delivering objectives in terms of volume, revenue, profitability and market share
Devise and drive category/channel plans and provide recommendations to maximise margin through product mix, price, channel management and lifecycle management
Undertake research and analyse market and product sales data (competitor analysis, benchmarking, market research, and price and gap analysis)
Translate research and analysis into opportunities
Develop appropriate strategies and plans, working with sales teams to drive sales and brand growth
Monitor trends in competitor companies and react where appropriate
Seek new commercial initiatives with potential to increase sales and profitability
In conjunction with sales and marketing team, establish promotional activity plan (customer specific) to ensure product categories achieve stated goals
Create a strategic roadmap for implementing new product launches
Manage and support for customer tenders including product selection/pricing/packaging and full implementation

THE PERSON:

Degree qualified or equivalent with experience of creating strategic marketing plans
Marketing experience including product range management
Good communication, presentation and negotiation skills
Strong problem solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to analyse market/ channel trends and develop strategy accordingly
Computer literate in Microsoft office and e-mail

Salary up to GBP36000pa
