FLT Driver - Counterbalance
Are you an FLT Driver that has worked in Manufacturing and looking for a new challenge?
A fantastic opportunity has become available for an FLT Driver to join a well-known Manufacturing business based in Barnsley. The role will allow you to be part of a great team carrying out FLT Driving duties within a fast-paced Manufacturing business.
Working Hours: 3 shifts (Mornings, Afters & Nights)
Hourly Rate: GBP10.22 p/h + Shift Allowance
Benefits: 25 days Holiday + Stats, Health scheme, Bonus Scheme & Life Assurance
Overtime: Paid at time ?? after 40 hours and on Saturday. Paid at double time on Sunday.
Key Responsibilities:
*Transport material to and from designated areas in the facility
*Loading and unloading goods from vehicles
*Moving goods and materials packed on pallets around the facility
*Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions
*Checking loads are secure
*Recording all stock movements on internal systems (PC/RDT), keeping stock accurate
*Keeping stock in an organised manner throughout the storage areas and general housekeeping duties
*Stacking empty pallets
*Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipment
*Taking scrap and waste materials to the skip
*Always operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner
Skills & Experience:
*Must hold and accredited FLT Counterbalance Certificate
*Experience of operating in a busy manufacturing and warehouse environment
*Experience in using a PC/RDT stock system
*Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
*Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season
*High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment
*Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records
*Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner
*Maintain a clean & safe environment
*Positive, proactive, 'can do' attitude
*Professional approach
*Ability to count stock
