Our client based in Haywards Heath is looking to recruit a Digital Event Technician to consult with key stakeholders to ensure business needs and objectives are met and events are well planned and seamlessly executed. Be an integral part of the strategic virtual events planning process to influence the key stakeholders in the design and delivery of events.

Take responsibility for the full process of an event from planning a virtual/hybrid event to delivery for outstanding complex internal and external events on time and within budget. Be able to respond to the current environment with an agile and customer-centric mindset.

Provide timely support and support to less experienced members of the team as and when required. Assist the Team Manager and Head of communication on projects as required.

Responsibilities

To coordinate the whole event process from planning stages to delivery of the event and post-event evaluation for each identified customer (internal and external) in line with the objectives of the business area.
Design and own compelling end to end delegate experiences including providing support on digital content creation for major events and bring fresh ideas based on previous experience.
Sourcing of appropriate virtual platforms in-line with budget and objectives of the event.
Be able to develop virtual/attendee hubs and website. The hub will be where all the event content will be stored pre and post-event (i.e. agenda, speaker biographies, videos, polling, Q&A etc.)
Conduct regular supplier reviews.
Consult with the internal customer, for the event(s) to agree on objectives for a digital communication plan for the event. Once the objectives are defined work closely with the customer strategy team to look at ways to implement this.
Track and allocate costs within the budget allocated to that event as appropriate and provide management information reports as required.
Extract analytics and provide feedback in relation to each event and provide key learnings from that feedback to the event manager and senior stakeholders
To provide creative input and experience in the development of future virtual and hybrid customer events/activities. Use best practices and innovation to challenge and enhance the objectives of the customer.
Influencing upwards to manage expectations and provide input to future events and planning to ensure budget, objectives, and expectations are suitable.
Look at ways to add value and provide valuable input into the events strategy
Work in compliance with data privacy and GDPR

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have previous proven experience as a Digital Event Technician or similar role, with in-depth knowledge of virtual events. Previous proven experience in running virtual/hybrid events, using PA systems, (wireless/lapel mics, speakers, etc.) filming events using 4k cameras, green screens, a creative software suite to produce professional videos and content (ideally Adobe CC especially Premiere Pro and After Effects).
To be successful in this role you will be organised and confident working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the key business needs are met for each project. On occasions, you may be required to travel to attend some events to ensure they run smoothly
