About The Role
This is a flexible role for a Support Worker to join our bank in Nottingham. While weekly hours are not guaranteed, the benefit of this role is that we can offer you the flexibility to fit with your circumstances. As we offer a service 24/7 this can include day or night work as required.
As bank worker you will be required to provide support to encourage independent living of our customers in Nottingham. This will primarily be at our Hilton Grange service. However, we have a number of services in this area so there are regular opportunities for hours. This will include a variety of customers depending on the service where hours are required. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: -
Encouraging good hygiene habits
Personal care
Supporting customers in keeping their independent flats in good condition
Supporting customers in managing their own health care
Day to day living skills such as food preparation and shopping
Supporting customers with managing their finances and tenancies
Following and updating support plans
Managing medication

What you?ll need to succeed
To be successful in this role previous experience is essential, and we are seeking individuals who can provide a caring and supportive service to our customers with dignity. You will demonstrate you understand what good support looks like which is appropriate to the age, gender, disability, race, religion and sexuality of the customer to improve their quality of life and independence.
This is a bank position and you will need to be able to start at 7am if on an early shift and able to work till 10pm if on a late shift, if you can work nights as well these can be from 10pm to 7 or 8 am dependent on the service, availability for weekend and bank holiday working is very desirable. There will be a requirement to attend team meetings, training and supervision in addition to shift work.
