Facilities Assistant
Medway
Temporary - GBP9.50 PH
A new opening for a Facilities Assistant has arisen for our busy client based in Medway.
In this role you will be required to work both alone and working closely with other teams using initiatives to resolve premises related challenges.
Early mornings and late nights may sometimes be required of you to cover various maintenance works as and when needed for the business.
Duties include:
Regular inspections and checks of the buildings and grounds reporting any damage/ deterioration or general wear and tear
Touchpoint cleaning
To instigate repairs for any minor incidents and report major incidents to the appropriate line manager
To fully comply with all health and safety requirements, undertaking training when required
Weekly fire alarm testing; conducting practice fire drills
Ensuring the security of buildings is not compromised and that urgent action is taken when/if any breaches occur
Liaising with external contractors ensuring all safe working practise requirements are understood and adhered to at all times
Full monitoring of the performance of contractors, ensuring that remedial action is taken against any underperforming and finding alternative replacements in a timely manner
Behaving in a professional manner at all timesThe successful candidate will be/ have;
A strong all round knowledge of DIY
Physically fit; lifting and moving large and heavy objects
Willingness to clean offices
Basic literacy and numeracy skills
Flexibility of working hours and the ability to work overtime as and when required
