Recruitment Consultant.
Nearly 6 years ago I was working in retail. It was a job I enjoyed, especially the people interaction but I was going nowhere. I wanted more.
So I started looking online at other job opportunities (a bit like you are now) and recruitment kept coming up. But I didn't have a clue what it was. I was drawn to the entrepreneurial nature and working on commission so I could truly control my earnings, so I applied.
6 years later and it was the best decision I ever made.
Recruitment has given me the ability to support my family in a way retail could never offer and has allowed me to feel professionally fulfiled.
But recruitment isn't for everyone...
That's right, recruitment isn't going to be the career of choice for all. First of all, recruitment is a sales position and you will have to be comfortable with that. Also, recruitment can be a rollercoaster. You will have good days and bad days. We deal with people all day every day and people like to change their mind a lot. Being resilient will help.
You don't need any recruitment experience for this role as full training and mentorship will be provided. Some sales experience will be useful but not essential.
What you will be doing?
You will be working directly with one of our senior consultants where you will be helping to find qualified IT professionals for our exclusive clients. This will mostly be a phone-based role, interviewing candidates and talking with clients. You will receive 1 to 1 training with the long term plan of you picking up your own clients and growing your earnings. This will involve searching on job board databases, using Linkedin and growing your network by delivering a great service to client and candidate.

We are a privately owned recruitment business that has been operating for nearly 20 years. We are experts in recruiting technology, digital and change professionals in the midlands.
