Barnardo's Scotland Fostering Glasgow has been registered with the Care Inspectorate and established as a successful independent fostering agency for approximately 20 years. We offer staff flexible working arrangements, but are based in the south of Glasgow.

We are currently looking for a 14.8 hours per week social work qualified and SSSC registered Practice Manager to join two other Practice Managers and take part as required in our duty and on call services, who is a able to participate and contribute to our management meetings. You will be responsible for managing a number of social workers with responsibility for a number of foster carers and placements, and overseeing the quality of maintaining systems; recording, foster carer assessments and annual reviews.

BSFG has a staff of 22 and works with children and young people aged 0-21 who are referred to us by Local Authorities throughout Scotland on a short break, emergency, interim and permanent basis.

The children and young people we work with have complex social, emotional, behavioural and educational needs and experience of trauma, abuse and adversity.

The successful applicant will be working as part of a team of foster carers; social workers; children's workers, a child psychotherapist; art therapist and educational liaison worker to deliver trauma informed services to children and Carers

Through our integrated services and dedicated support, we aim to provide a high quality safe, stable and loving environment with an emphasis on keeping siblings together.

The successful applicant will have substantial knowledge and experience of working with foster carers, as well as of relevant legislation, National Standards, policy and procedures.
