Agricultural/Farm Worker- Cambourne- GBP9+ Per Hour
Our Client are one of the largest and longest established, privately owned and entirely independent pig genetics businesses in Europe.
This forward thinking genetics business is looking for a stock person to join the busy farm. As a Stock person your main duty is to care for and collect samples from Boars and send them to the Genetics lab for testing.
This role is part time morning work - Thursday,Friday, Saturday and Monday working from 5am - 12pm
Your Role
Working with a commercial breeding herd of 1400 sows across 2 sites
You will be training and learning all sides of the business including farrowing, weaning and feeding.
Collect samples from Boars in order for them to be tested in the genetics lab
Mucking out pigs and maintaining the living areas.
Physical outdoor working on a specialist genetics farm
Working in all weathers ensuring the efficient delivery of samples
Person Requirements
Hard working positive attitude
Able to do a physical days work in all weather conditions
Passion for working with animals
Driving license & own transport
MUST NOT HAVE EXPOSURE TO OTHER PIGS DUE TO BIO HEALTH
Farm experience is desirable but not essential as all training is given
