This 'Unique but perfectly formed' fashion brand is looking for a designer with a real thirst for fashion and an appreciation for good quality, beautifully designed ladieswear. This brand is successful, established, and well-recognised for their stylish, wearable product for every occasion.

This role is a pivotal one within the business and requires someone with some solid experience working as a Designer within another fashion business as you will need to hit the ground running.

Designer/Product Developer- The Role:

* You will design commercial, fashion focused womenswear collections.

* Researching and identifying latest key trends, catwalks influences to inspire and develop new ranges, and to compliment and drive forward existing product lines.

* You will be working closely with their creative director on new designs, but also to be proactive in bringing new ideas and designs to the table, styling photoshoots, be on hand to assist the garment technologist and pattern cutters.

* You will be working closely with buying and merchandising teams to source, present and select commercial ranges.

* You will identify and translate the must have trends.

* You will be attending trade exhibitions in the UK.

* Produce detailed tech packs and brief suppliers confidently.

* Develop new trims, yarns and structures.

* Identify and update bestsellers to drive repeat business.

* Checking samples from first fit stage through to production and delivery.

Designer/Product Developer- The Candidate:

* This position is looking for solid design experience with at least 5 years working in the industry within graduating from University with a design related Degree.

* The ideal candidate will come from a technical background and have a great understanding of garment construction and pattern cutting. - this would be an advantage for future growth

* You will have a keen eye for styling and a natural flare to organise and style photoshoots for new collections.

* Experience designing with prints would be advantageous for future growth of the role, brand, and business.

* You will be a well organised, confident communicator, experienced in managing priorities and liaising with internal teams and external suppliers etc.

* You will have a real eye for fashion and translating trends.

* Proficient on Photoshop and Illustrator.

* Have experience of working closely with overseas factories.

* You must also be an effective communicator & team player to step into this challenging role and be confident at building good internal and external relationships.

* Hard working and dedicated individual with a real passion for design. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adaptable to change your hand to other parts and able to work closely with the Creative director, garment technologists and pattern cutters.
