Production Operative / Machine Operator
Are you a Production Operative / Machine Operator that has worked in Manufacturing and looking for a new challenge?
A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Production Operative / Machine Operator to join a well-known Manufacturing business based in Barnsley. The role reports into the Production Supervisor and will allow you to be part of a great team carrying out Skilled Production Operative and Machine Operating duties.
Working Hours: 3 shifts (Mornings, Afters & Nights)
Hourly Rate: GBP10.22 p/h + Shift Allowance
Benefits: 25 days Holiday + Stats, Health scheme, Bonus Scheme & Life Assurance
Overtime: Paid at time ?? after 40 hours and on Saturday. Paid at double time on Sunday.
Key Responsibilities:
*Strictly adhere to safe systems of work and report any defects
*Maintain good housekeeping standards in the area
*Perform quality checks in accordance with ISO instructions
*Optimise production of components by working as part of a line team, delivering good quality components to output targets
*Be aware of and follow the appropriate operating procedures for the activities in which you are engaged
*Provide information for your supervisor regarding progress of products under your control
*Ensure that your area of operation is kept clean, tidy, and safe and continuously strive for improving standards of performance
*Be an active contributor to the department and operations objectives
Skills & Experience:
*Must be able to demonstrate experience of working within manufacturing
*Able to work in a methodical orderly and tidy manner
*In some instances, able to work unsupervised
*Good attendance and punctuality record
*Be able to follow Health & Safety requirements
*Demonstrate a positive attitude to work and be flexible with regard to
*Ability to follow instructions and processes
*Exhibits an eagerness to learn and expand skills and experience
