Role Details

We have a number of exciting vacancies for Junior Tech Services Engineers at CMI to support our tech services (applications and infrastructure), including fulfilling colleague requests, resolving service failures, and carrying out both routine and preventative maintenance on all devices, including servers, databases and network infrastructure. 


This role is to be split between project and BAU (Business as Usual) work to support the existing technology services within the organisation, but also encompasses other capabilities associated with the ITIL Framework, including Service Design, Service Transition and Continual Service Improvement. 



  • Create and review procedures and documentation pertinent to Tech Services. 
  • Triage and resolve incidents, problems and requests raised within Tech Services. 
  • Support, manage, administer the network infrastructure, servers, client devices and applications, including support, installation, configuration and analysis. 
  • Create Service Designs for new and changed services, and transition them to live ensuring minimal disruption to the business and customers. 


Who we are looking for: 

  • Good analytical skills and ability to resolve simple technical issues in a timely manner. 
  • Must be very security conscious and do all it takes to avoid sensitive data falling into wrong hands. 
  • You’ll ideally have experience in the implementation, management, maintenance and troubleshooting of infrastructure, including switches, routers, servers, desktops, laptops, chromebooks, mobile devices, and other service components. 
  • Experience with liaising with Managed Service Providers and suppliers in advantageous.
  • Ideally hold experience with GSuite, Apple and Microsoft solutions 
  • An educational background in a computing-related subject or previous personal and/or commercial experience is preferred. 
  • Enthusiasm for new technologies and driving business outcomes 
  • Excellent team working skills
