Senior DevSecOps Engineer / Security Focused DevOps Engineer - Edinburgh - Permanent

Head Resourcing is currently recruiting for a Senior DevSecOps Engineer / Security Focused DevOps Engineer to work with a leading investment company in Edinburgh. The DevOps team is responsible for cloud, and cloud native platforms that the development teams use to build in-house applications, along with the associated CI / CD tooling. Our client is looking to recruit a talented security focused DevOps Engineer to join the team and help establish the appropriate controls and policies to ensure applications on cloud and cloud native platforms meet defined security standards and support the development teams in delivering secure applications. Responsibilities:

- Documenting, approving and implementing controls that support our SOE and SDLC

- Involvement in embedding secure development practices in all stages of the development and release process

- Ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ISO27001 / CIS benchmarks

- Utilising secure authentication and authorisation methods

- Provide input into the selection of and implementation of products to help us on the journey

- Working on multiple streams of work with changing priorities

Essential:
- CI/CD pipeline - Azure DevOps or similar

- Experience of multiple Cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS

- Kubernetes / Microservices

- Hands-on experience in DevOps / Operations / SRE proficiencies

- Experience in deploying and debugging applications to production environments

- Experience in securing Cloud & Cloud Native applications

- ISO27001 / CIS benchmarks

- Understanding or experience of secure authentication and authorisation methods

- Understanding of Agile Development & Software Development Lifecycle

- Experience with enterprise and open source monitoring tools such as Splunk, DataDog, Instana etc.
