Falmouth Harbour Commissioners are celebrating their 150th year of managing the 3rd deepest natural harbour in the world. Strategically placed on the UK’s Western approaches the port has a bright future as one of the premier ports on the south coast of the UK.
Falmouth Harbour Commissioners are seeking a positive, driven and committed individual to undertake the role of Maintenance Operator. The role offers interesting and varied work including:
- Maintenance of Harbour Moorings and Navigation marks.
- Maintenance of Harbour Craft, Infrastructure and Assets.
- Crew and Operate Harbour Craft.
A qualification for operating marine craft is desirable but full training will be provided. Candidates should have at least 4 GCSE’s including Maths and English.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter, capable of working alone with limited supervision and as part of a team. Candidates should ideally have at least 3 years’ experience in an industrial maintenance related post. This is a diverse role, and we will consider candidates from a range of backgrounds.
This is a full-time post with a salary scale of £19,649 to £24,604.
