Due to further expansion of the company we require a Stock Controller to join our growing team at our Denton Site. The main duty being to take receipt of goods and ensure the safe storage of chemicals. A good attention to detail and methodical approach is required. Ideally we are looking for a candidate with experience in a similar role, however we will consider applicants with a similar skillset. Responsibilities of the Stock Controller:
Check goods coming in against paperwork and assign batch numbers
Mark all items with product code and customer information for direct dispatch and label items that come into stock before storing.
Enter stock receipts onto SAP system.
Perform stock checks / investigation to ensure system & physical records match.
Load & unload deliveries ensuring cross check of the delivery details with courier to identify any potential errors.
Perform any of the roles within the Warehouse adjusting to daily demands in each of the associated areas as detailed in the working procedures & SOP’s - subject to on the job training & competency.
Apply good housekeeping practices across the Warehouse, taking responsibility for assigned tasks and adherence to the 5s Principles (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize & Sustain)
Adhere to the all departmental policies, procedures and SOP’s including the wearing of the appropriate PPE for the task.
NVQ Level 2 Warehousing & Storage, or equivalent. Fork Lift Truck License (Reach & Counterbalance)
Experience in Chemical Handling and hazard identification. Experience in packing, labelling, Lifting & carrying up to 25Kg.
Working knowledge of a CRM system
Working effectively with colleagues to offer support, cover and to maintain a cohesive team environment
Attend work regularly and to arrive at work on time as failure to do so affects others morale and productivity
Experience of Athena & SAP Business One
Experience in Chemical Handling and hazard identification.
Hours- 37½ hours per week, Monday to Friday (8am-4pm during training, 9am-5pm after probation period with ½hour lunch break plus a morning and afternoon tea break).
Starting salary is competitive and depending on experience
Bonus- Company performance related paid twice a year.
Pension- Group personal pension (company contribution of 7.5%, employees 5%).
Holidays- 24 days per year plus bank holidays (increases with length of service).
