The post holder will be required to run a small distribution warehouse, and work in conjunction with the logistics, purchasing, and compliance departments of the company. The ideal candidate will have had previous experience with working in a similar role and have strong experience in warehousing and inventory control. You will need to have solid organisation skills, be proficient in managing your own workload, possess good spoken and written English, computer-literate and some experience in using Window-based software.

Job Description:

Work with the warehouse supervisor on maintaining and running the warehouse.
As the Stores Person you will receive all incoming deliveries and validate goods against documentation.
As the Stores Person you will book in stock and enter data on the system.
Label and organise stock.
As the Stores Person you will pick and release all outgoing deliveries, in accordance to authorised procedures.
Manage and maintain stock per FIFO.
Liaise with couriers and hauliers, as required.
As the Stores Person you will conduct internal and external stock takes, as required, transport would be provided.
As the Stores Person you will catalogue and control samples and product data internally.
Check, maintain and report on all relevant warehouse equipment.
Conduct all warehouse activities in accordance to Health and Safety guidelines.
Assist in the update and maintenance of product data and internal compliance materials.
Assist various departments with activities essential to the functioning of business.
Communicate and liaise effectively with all departments in the organisation.
Participate and contribute to regular meetings on issues related to the warehouse, H&S and Quality Control.
Treat all stock and equipment with due care and attention.
Maintain exceptional standards of housekeeping in the warehouse.
Adhere to policies and procedures at all times.Candidate Requirements:

Possess a valid counterbalance forklift driving certification.
Possess a driving license and a clean driving record as may need to travel to other remote sites.
A team-player but can also work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
Self-motivated, with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage own workload.
Methodical, organised, and can follow set procedures.
Able to work with others in a confident and friendly manner.
Good understanding of health and safety practices.Hours: Monday - Thursday 9:00am - 5:30pm & Friday 9:00am - 4:30pm

Salary: GBP8.91 per hour
