Established family owned specialist logistics provider, with plans for future growth
The Role
This is a new role, reporting to the Managing Director, to identify and develop strategies for the development of new business opportunities and added value service for a start up subsidiary company providing warehousing and logistics services
This is a fixed term contract for 3 months Temp to Perm
Key responsibilities
* Identify and recommend plans for the future in line with company goals
* Recommend better use of existing resources
* Liaise with stakeholders to examine and evaluate new markets, costs, budgets and forecasts
* Recommend suggestions for strategic and operational changes
* Evaluate the impact of the changes made
* Consider opportunities and potential risks
The candidate
* Experience of a hands on operational role in logistics would be an advantage
* Business development and account management experience
* Experience of evaluating and analysing data and recommending solutions
* Have an excellent understanding of the way the organisation works and the sector in which it operates
* Good communicator, able to meet goals with internal and external stakeholders.
