Structural Engineer - North Yorkshire
Our clients are one of the leading multi-disciplinary consultancies in the North of England. They provide a range of professional services including Structural and Civil Engineering, Building Surveying, Cost Management, Project Management and CDM Advisory services.
As they continue to expand, they're currently looking for a Structural Engineer with a keen interest in Building Conservation to join their busy Built Heritage and Refurbishment team in their North Yorkshire office where you will be working on Listed Buildings and Scheduled Ancient Monuments as well as non-designated heritage assets.
They're looking for someone with several years' of experience in a similar position and either Chartered or near-Chartered. The role requires excellent analytical and report-writing skills, and a willingness to survey structures at heigh and within derelict buildings. You will also need strong communication skills and be comfortable with meeting clients and various construction professionals.
Requirements:
- A keen interest and experience in Building Conservation
- MIStructE Chartered or working towards qualification
- Experience working on Listed Building projects
-Excellent analytical and report-writing skills
- Willingness to survey structures at height and within derelict buildings
- Strong client liaison skills
- Self-motivated with a methodical approach
