NETWORK MANAGER
The Northern Lighthouse Board is the General Lighthouse Authority for Scotland and the Isle of Man, established by statute to provide, maintain and inspect marine aids to navigation throughout its waters.
Based at the Board's Headquarters in central Edinburgh, as Network Manager you will be responsible for managing and administrating the Northern Lighthouse Boards networks. You will manage major internal and collaborative ICT projects using approved structured project management methods to deliver measurable business benefits. Key projects that you will immediately be involved in include; Office 365 in relation to and Network security and management, Server upgrades and overhaul of central security management.
You will hold a Degree (or equivalent experience) in an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) discipline and be a certified experienced manager of Microsoft network technologies. You will have advanced skills in the following areas: SQL Server database implementation and management, Active Directory, VMWare, Backup Technologies, Citrix, Network security and SharePoint/Teams 365. You will come with in depth knowledge of Networking and Server technologies and be able to support and cover for team members during absences ensuring a seamless ICT service is provided to the NLB. You will have a good understanding of corporate financing and budget management and proven ability to problem solve and work to deadlines.
Salary range is GBP51,556 to GBP56,704 per annum. Benefits package includes career average pension scheme; flexible working; generous leave arrangements and corporate gym membership.
