Milk Education is working in partnership with a PRU in the South of Manchester that are looking for learning support assistants to support students with behavioural challenges and barriers to learning. If successful you will provide 121 and small group support to pupils aged between 11-18. You will also supervise lessons in the absence of a teacher.
If you are an ex-prison officer, ex-police personnel, background in the military, or similar, this could be the perfect job role for you. Candidates with personal experience of managing challenging behaviour within the community will also be considered.
Successful candidates will:
* Have a confident and friendly personality
* Be resilient and have a sense of humour
* Remain calm in intense and stressful situations
* Show a genuine interest in working with children and young people
* Show a desire to motivate disengaged learners
* Be available to work immediately 3-5 days per week
* Hold an updated DBS check (or willing to obtain one)
* Have the right to work in the UK
