Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to promote Lucy Group's activities and achievements both internally and externally via various forms of media. It should educate and inspire colleagues, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders through delivering outstanding marketing collateral and engaging communications. Job Context
Lucy Group has operating businesses across multiple sectors: Lucy Controls, Lucy Electric and Lucy Real Estate. The Group creates wide-ranging products, services and solutions for customers across 60 countries in the UK, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia and Latin America.
To support the operating businesses, the Group has a number of central services including Marketing & Communications, HR, Finance, IT and Legal.
The Group Marketing & Communications team manages and co-ordinates the internal and external marketing and communications activities of the Group (principally head office and central service activities). The team is also responsible for partnering on the marketing and communications activities of the teams within the operating businesses.
Job Dimensions
Reporting to the Global Head of Engagement & Employee Communications, and dotted line reporting to the Group Head of Marketing & communications function; part of the communications leadership team.
This role includes preparation of materials for multiple media (presentations, meetings/town halls, newsletters, social media, websites and intranet etc.).
The role partners with HR to ensure that key messages are also delivered internally with engaging design and content having regard to the business' people strategy, and Lucy Group as a whole, to support the implementation and communication of key projects & initiatives, in line with the overall Marketing strategy.
Key Accountabilities
* Develop internal communication content for one off digital or publication use, or campaigns, for all group functions/departments, including:
1. Announcements
2. Business updates
3. Leadership blogs
4. Newsletters
5. Intranet pages
* Governance of internal communication platforms in line with policies and guidelines
* Create & maintain all HR customer facing documentation
1. Handbooks
2. User guides
3. Policies
4. Promotional material (for learning programmes)
* Create engaging and interactive content, including:
1. Video
2. Podcasts
3. Interactive content
* Ensuring the best user experience possible is created when developing and improving digital content/experiences
* Support in the development of standardised templates and guidelines
* Using creative tools to design, edit and author content, in line with standardised templates & guidelines
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
* Graduate in a relevant subject with at least 2 years Marketing and Communications experience
* Good writer - demonstrable content creation /copywriting skills both online and offline in various formats
* Previous experience of intranet platforms and design also highly desirable
Job Specific Skills
* Experience of generating, editing and publishing various forms of content across multi-media
* Experience working in social media across all platforms in a professional environment
* Competent user of Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, Google Analytics, Microsoft Office Suite
* Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Creative (new ideas/problem solving)
* Technical camera/audio skills
* Analytical - monitoring usage, access, and trends
