My client, a well-known British Charitable Institution based in Chelsea are currently looking to recruit a Major Gift Manager to join their fund-raising team. This is a permanent role and is paying GBP42,000 annum. The main purpose of the job is to secure funding from individual philanthropists, Trusts and Foundations in support of the Institution, maintain relationships with existing funders as well as initiate and build relationships with potential funders.
Other aspects of the role include (but not restricted to as you may need to undertake other responsibilities)
Support the implementation of the Institution's wider strategy of long-term income and growth
preparing high quality funding bids and executing grant reports
Supporting the Board members prepare for meetings, taking notes, preparing board packs and bids.
Achieve agreed income targets
Be responsible for researching and securing new donors and manage the relationships to secure long term support.
Develop new and interesting funding opportunities that respond to funders priorities.
Monitor performance against the budget and take action if needed to assure the achievement of agreed targets

To be considered for this role you must:
Senior fund-raising experience within Charities and Nonprofit sectors
Have proven experience in effective financial analysis and reporting
Be result driven/focused and can demonstrate the understanding of the sales process.
Can write in a highly persuasive style capable of attracting high-level and retaining multi-year donations
Have excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills, both written and oral.
Be highly organised and strong people skills
