GBP26,000 per annum

An exclusive opportunity for a Deputy Manager in the Holmfirth area has become available with a reputable provider of high-quality support and personalised care for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.

My client is looking for an experienced Deputy Manager who has worked within services for adults with Learning disabilities or Mental health. You will be responsible for Deputising for the manager and be the responsible manager in their absence carrying out all the duties that their position entails.

This role requires a degree of flexibility and the ability to react to events as they occur in a forward-thinking manner, always being mindful of CQC regulations and requirements.

Responsibilities/Duties for the Deputy Manager:

• Working with the manager on a day-to-day basis in all areas of residential care, including recruitment, development of staff, inductions, and training.
• Ensuring detailed Care Packages are in place and an effective friendly and homely environment is created.
• To effectively develop good communication links between members of the care and support team and colleagues.
• To work effectively to monitor and develop a high-quality care and support staff team.

As the Deputy Manager the following is required:

• Previous experience of working with people who have Learning Disability/Mental Health and/or Physical Disabilities.
• An understanding of and commitment to providing Equal Opportunities.
• Knowledge and first-hand experience of current Health & social Care legislation, including the Mental Health Act.
• Demonstrable evidence of supporting people in a person centred way.

In return, my client will offer a competitive salary of GBP26,000 per annum and excellent career progression.
