With a number of other 'world firsts' under their belt, this business have positioned themselves nicely to be able to take insurance technology by storm and throughout 2021 are looking to grow and scale their ambitious testing community, starting with the hiring of a QA Lead. Our client have been making waves in their industry since 2012 and over the next 12 months are embarking on a period of acceleration where they anticipate needing to grow by an additional 100 heads!

Managerial prerequisites of the role include:

• Proven experience line managing a team of 3 Engineers (as a minimum)
• Being able to understand the motivations of individual team members whilst using this to play to their strengths to achieve wider business goals
• The ability to provide examples of where you have effectively managed and given guidance to under performing staff
• Demonstrating excellent people management and leadership skills with proven experience of completing regular 1-2-1s and performance reviews
• Having a calm and collected manner with excellent interpersonal skills
• Being able to adapt to quickly adapt to new challenges and a embrace a fast paced agile environment

Technical prerequisites of the role include having experience with:

• Creating frameworks from scratch and then maintaining them
• C# Frameworks using Selenium
• Writing and reviewing Test Plans using JavaScript and Microsoft Technologies (specifically an understanding of React/Node.js would be beneficial)
• Manual testing of software using Postman
• Test management
• Leading defect triage's whilst prioritising technical issues
