Are you an experienced Youth Support Worker or Behaviour Mentor, looking to transfer your experience to a school setting? Or have your recently completed a degree and are looking to get into an education setting? Vision for Education are actively seeking to appoint Learning Support Assistants to work within KS1 to 4 SEND schools across Doncaster.

The role

This excellent opportunity would be ideal for an experienced teaching assistant or equally someone with a strong background within a similar setting, who is looking to carry out long term or day to day supply in the Doncaster area. Your role will see you providing support to the class teacher and other LSA's within small classes across KS1 and 4. This role can be extremely challenging, but it is also highly rewarding engaging with vulnerable young people, families and other agencies to help them develop and achieve.

Requirements

To be considered for the position of Behaviour Mentor / Teaching Assistant, you will:

Referenceable experience within a relative setting - over a period of more than 6 weeks (can be voluntary)
Have experience sporting children and or young adults with EBD, SEMH and other related learning needs
Be available at least 3 days per week
Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of specialist teachers
Have a passion for supporting students and teachers, with the ability to work in small groups and on a 121 basis
Own vehicle and willing to travel across Doncaster and Rotherham is highly desirable
Have a DBS registered to the update service or willing to apply for a new one
Hold an in date Team Teach Level 2 or be willing to complete this training through our company (free of charge)
