Purchasing Administrator for our Colchester based client. Ideally you will have experience in a purchasing role where you have dealt with supplies and understand the buying process. As Purchasing administrator, you will be working in a small team handling the administration involved in buying as well as communicating with all parties involved both in the UK, Europe and China. It is essential for this Purchasing Administrator role that you have strong administration skills, are a good communicator and have some knowledge of purchasing/buying.

The Role

* Develop a working relationship with all stakeholders including internal teams

* Liaising with all parties involved for the purchasing of goods in the UK, Europe and China

* Ensure all purchase orders and related paperwork are accurately completed and managed efficiently

* Negotiate prices with suppliers

* Control all involvement in purchase invoices

* Analyse market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions of attractive/desirable products that enhance companies' packages

The Person

* Strong purchasing administration experience

* Essential that you possess knowledge of freight and shipping goods within the UK and internationally

* Ideally possess previous experience of buying from China, Europe and the UK

* Able to work to tight deadlines

* Confident negotiator

* Work well under pressure

* Organised and able to multi task

* Excellent communication skills
