Test Manager

My client is a globally recognised name within the software testing world - due to large scale growth they are looking to recruit a Test Manager to be based in their Preston HQ.

As a Test Manager at my client, you will provide regular, accurate, and concise progress reports to the delivery teams and also be capable of thinking innovatively about how best to test the solution and what may be required in order to facilitate testing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

*Definition of the High-Level Test Approach for Programmes/Projects, including advising on the test phases needed to support the Programme/Project
*Definition and maintenance of the Test Strategy documents
*Provide input to the Programme/Project management on the needs of Test project
*Provide estimates, with a good level of accuracy, of the time required to complete test activities
*Manage Test progress, including assigning work, monitoring progress and providing feedback
*Work collaboratively with business personnel, particularly around defining requirements and supporting execution for testing phases such as UAT and Live Proving
*Define and maintain Test Plan documents
*Identify, document and manage all significant Programme/Project Risks and Issues regarding Testing
*Identify opportunities within our clients to sound out new opportunities within software testing

KEY SKILLS
*Experience in developing and writing Test Strategies and Approaches Demonstrates managing test teams both onshore and offshore
*Experience leading a project team in tight timescales
*Strong communication skills at all levels
*Experience with implementing and configuring a variety of leading testing tools and understanding how best to exploit them
*Extensive experience of defining and implementing waterfall, agile and hybrid/custom testing approaches
*Experience in a senior testing position, including leading a team
*Experience of managing teams working on multiple projects
